Workshops: To provide focused training and information in key areas of interest to oncology trainees, which are often not adequately covered in Oncology Curriculae or are by their nature difficult to cover in structured educational programs, as they necessitate interaction and specialized expertise. (Examples: Medical Statistics, Why choose Oncology, Training experiences abroad, Breaking Bad News, Research Ethics, Drug development etc.)

Clinical Case Presentations & Discussion: The basic concept here is to bring the Resident to the podium. A Patient Case with history, presentation, pathology and imaging and 4-6 Multiple Choice Questions is prepared by a Faculty member and handed over to the Trainee a month before the Masterclass. The Trainee will have to study it, study relevant literature and present the Case with his/her proposed Answers to the MCQ and proposals for diagnostic/therapeutic strategies, that he/she should be able to justify and defend. A Discussion with the Expert Panel and the audience will take place either during the Case Presentation or immediately after it. Lively discussion and interaction are encouraged and should be elicited by the Experts in the panel.

Overall Aim: An additional aim is to promote scientific interaction and social/scientific networking between young Greek and Swiss trainees and faculty, as well as an exchange of variations and common patterns in way oncology and research are practiced.
