The Hellenic Group of Young Oncologists (HeGYO), a subgroup of HeSMO, composed of recently specialised Medical Oncologists and residents in Medical Oncology. The HeGYO is eager to be the link between the new and the older generation of Medical Oncologists.

In accordance to the Society's internal regulations (can be found here) members can become all doctors (aged up to 42yrs) who are specialised or still specialising in Medical Oncology or going through the first part of training in Internal Medicine in order to become specialised in Medical Oncology.

In September 2015, HeGYO had approximately 200 members in Greece and abroad.
