Dear UICC members,
I am delighted to invite you to nominate candidates for the UICC Board of Directors[i] and UICC President-Elect. This is an exciting opportunity for members as you will be nominating candidates to form a team that will represent you and will provide strategic direction to the organisation for the next two years. We will accept nominations until 1 May 2018. The Nominating Committee[ii] will be responsible for reviewing the nominations received. Along with the UICC President, the Committee will put forward to the General Assembly[iii] an appropriate number of candidates[iv] for the elections of the next President-Elect and members for the Board of Directors. I strongly encourage all members to be part of this important process by either nominating candidates and/or voting at the General Assembly for the UICC Board of Directors and UICC President-Elect. The General Assembly will take place on 2 October 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in conjunction with the World Cancer Congress. Only full members have the right to vote at the General Assembly. Further details about the General Assembly and voting details will follow in May. To register for the World Cancer Congress, please visit www.worldcancercongress.org and take advantage of the special rates and benefits for members. In order to facilitate the nomination process and help you appropriately identify your nominees, two Terms of Reference documents describe the criteria for candidates for the Board of Directors and for the President-Elect. To be considered, nominations must be received by 1 May 2018 (23:59 GMT+1).
I look forward to working with you. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact the UICC team at Αυτή η διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου προστατεύεται από τους αυτοματισμούς αποστολέων ανεπιθύμητων μηνυμάτων.
