We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2nd World Patients Conference which is being held on 19 - 20 October 2024 at Cape Town, South Africa.
|
|

We are also excited to inform you that the deadline for applying for Travel Grants to attend the WPA 2nd World Patients Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, has been extended to 30 June 2024. This extension gives more WPA member organizations the opportunity to apply for these limited grants, which will support selected members to attend the conference in person on 19-20 October 2024.

The theme of the two-day conference is The Role of the Patient in a Changing World. The conference will bring together global leaders of non-profit organizations, healthcare stakeholders and leaders in the field of patient advocacy to network, exchange information, share experiences, learn from each other, raise their voice, and advocate for patients’ cause internationally.
|
|
It will be a hybrid event, taking place both in person in Cape Town – South Africa, and online. For participants attending Conference online, all sessions will be broadcasted live in the South African Standard Time. For those who cannot attend during the scheduled times, all the sessions will be recorded and made available online via the WPA website for viewing at a later time.
|
|
The event will feature a range of keynote speakers from all the leading healthcare stakeholders globally.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Who should attend?
|
|
The 2nd World Patients Conference will provide patients, family carers, NGOs and leading patient advocates the platform and opportunity to network and raise patients' voices at global level. Moreover, other healthcare stakeholders including healthcare providers, international health organizations and industry partners from all around the world will also attend this global event. Virtual registration for our conference is entirely free, with no registration fee required.

2. In-person registration (free):
|
|
One In-person registration is free for each WPA member organization. Limited grants for in-person participation are also available.
|

3. In-person registration (paid):
|
|
Additionally, you can also pay and participate as a paid In-person registrant.
